Spoilers for ch 700+, I saw a bit of a spoilerish quote from ch 1000+ (im currently at like 870) and it sucker punched me so bad that I need to cry a little.

Ok so. Everyone who has gotten to that point in the novel has seen the guilt Chung Myung carries for fighting with his sahyung the second to last time they ever see eachother, the last being when they both died. That quote I saw was talking about how that sometimes, when he looks up, the sky looks the same as it did the day he threw insults at his sahyung. MEANING the fight about Chung Jin. Augh ough ouch. Horrible right? Teared up a little (a lot) when I read that. This is one of the things I really really like about the Return of the Mount Hua Sect. Things will ALWAYS be brought back up.

But god, just how much guilt does he carry over that fight? How much guilt and shame does he face, knowing that he spit such angry words at the man who basically raised him? Not being able to say sorry because the next time, the last time, he sees him is in that final battle. The last time he sees him, hole in his chest, bleeding, dead on the floor.

Imagine having that image as the last view of one of your most beloved people, cause the bond those two had can't possibly be simplified down.

Chung myung is a man torn apart by regret and built up by the desperate need to not allow any of this to happen again
